Job Description

Mother Teresa Foundation Canada is looking for a Grant Writer to help research, write, and prepare funding applications that support the foundation’s charitable programs.

The Grant Writer will help the foundation apply for grants and funding opportunities that support food, clothing, clean water, poverty relief, and community assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Research grant and funding opportunities from foundations, government programs, businesses, and community organizations.
• Write and edit grant applications, funding proposals, and letters of inquiry.
• Prepare clear program descriptions that explain the foundation’s mission and community impact.
• Collect information needed for grant applications, including program details, goals, timelines, and funding needs.
• Help organize grant deadlines, requirements, and supporting documents.
• Assist with reports and updates for funders when required.
• Work with the foundation team to develop strong and professional funding applications.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
• Ability to write clearly, professionally, and persuasively.
• Good attention to detail and organization.
• Comfortable working with deadlines and application requirements.
• Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, and community service.
• Experience with grant writing is an asset, but not required.
